About Us

The term ‘Martial Art’ simply means, arts concerned with the waging of war or fighting skills. There are several martial Art styles in this World, among them some are really ancient and some are newly emerging. People say that the origin of Martial Art took place in India and some believe in Africa and the list goes on. You will get a different view point from different scholars on this topic. No one properly knows the original birth place of Martial Art. But, I believe that Martial Arts were generated when men knew how to defend themselves from wild animals (i.e. date back to the era of Stone Age).

Fighting is as old as man himself. This struggle to overcome another by means of combat, unarmed or armed, is perhaps the legacy handed down to us from our ancestors, the cavedwellers. Thus the Martial Arts we know today developed from ancient and bloody war skills. Man has formulated and implemented scientific principles through the ages in his efforts to subdue enemies by means or foul. This quest for domination sowed the seeds for a fighting art. In time, man’s search for deeper meaning let to the development of a higher philosophy of fighting and ultimately the old Martial ways became a path to self knowledge. To learn and to revitalize those powerful tricks of Martial Laws, Master of Martial Art has developed their own strategy. That’s the reason for which Martial Arts schools and organizations has come into play.

Being a Martial Artist I was always having a dream to launch my own Institution. Therefore, initially I was wondering for a suitable name for my Martial Art Institution. But one day one thought has hit my mind. That was what ever the styles may be in a Martial Art, ultimately a Martial Artist of any style has to use his Fist & Kick to defend him/her self form his/her opponent. The thought for the ultimate use of fist and kick has impressed me a lot. And there evolves the “FIST-KICK UNIVERSAL- THE FIGHT SCHOOL.” The organization was incepted in May 31st, 2001. That time onwards this organization has never looked back. Yeah it’s right that survival of such organizations in the country like INDIA was not so easy.

But I’m proud to be an Indian from where some believes that the Martial Art was started. I think that might be a conception which has provided me an extra thrust to continue with my organizations in between up and downs. Now it’s an established one and conveying the real message of Martial Art to the whole world. And to convey the message apart from the traditional ways what could be better than World Wide Web. FIST-KICK UNIVERSAL- THE FIGHT SCHOOL is all set to express the actual message of Martial Art to all of you.

Remember “Knowing is not the right path to understanding, neither understanding is the true path to knowing, but to seek and be enlightened is the right path to Life.” Danny

Origin

The martial arts or fighting arts are systems of codified practices and traditions of training for combat. The martial arts have very similar goals: to physically defeat others and to defend oneself or others from physical threat. In addition, some martial arts are linked to beliefs such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Shinto, while others follow a special code of honor. Many arts are also practiced competitively, most commonly as combat sports, but can also take the form of dance.

The term martial arts refers to the art of war (Mars, the god of war). This is a 15th century term European combat arts now known as historical European martial arts. A martial arts practitioner is known as a martial artist.

In popular culture, the martial arts term often refers specifically to Asian fighting styles, especially the combat systems that originated in eastern Asia. However, the term refers to any system of combat coded, regardless of their origin. Europe is home to many extensive systems of martial arts, both living traditions (eg Jogo do Pau and other stick and sword fencing and Savate, a French kicking style developed by sailors and street fighters) and the older systems in the history of European martial arts that have existed until now, many of which are being rebuilt. In the Americas, Native Americans have a tradition of open-handed martial arts such as wrestling, and Hawaiians have historically practiced arts with small and large joint manipulation. A mix of backgrounds is found in the athletic movements of Capoeira, which developed in Brazil by African slaves based on skills brought from Africa.

While each style has unique facets that make it different from other martial arts, a common characteristic is the systemization of fighting techniques. Methods of training vary and may include sparring (simulated combat) or formal groups or routines of techniques or forms known as kata. The forms are especially common in the martial arts of Asia and Asia-derivatives.
